April Showers us with Great White Sharks!

With the beginning of the Cape Winter, it has brought some magnificent viewing of the Great White Shark.

Our waters are warmer, the visibility has been remarkable, and our viewing of the sharks this past week has seen our clients commenting ‘awesome’, ‘graceful’, and ‘incredible’.

This week alone during my trip around Shark Alley, we have been graced with the presence of at least twelve Great White Sharks, ranging in size, the smallest of The Great White Sharks being measured from about 2.5 meters and the largest Shark around 4.5 meters. Due to fantastic visibility which has been up to 5 meters, the surface viewing has been excellent.

We have been anchoring around Dyer Island on the Gelsteen side which is to the right of Dyer Island, and in the last 2 days we have been on the other side of the Island at Rocky bay. Due to the abundance of sea life and the Cape Fur Seal Colony, the Great Whites don't have far to look for food. Most of the Sharks have been within 2 meters of the boat, here are some pictures that we would like to share with you of what we saw, and the rest are in our Great White Shark Gallery.

But remember, nothing compares to the actual experience of coming face to face with a Great White Shark when you join Sharklady Adventures for your unique experience of Cage Diving.
